I promised myself to write this letter as soon as I had the time……….

About the wonderful treatment by Delta Airlines staff in Guyana my wife and I experienced………

We were outgoing passengers on Delta flight to New York on 7th October 2008……… we has earlier had our flight cancelled on 5th October on the same airline because of technical reasons…….

The Sales manager, Mr Junior Horatio and Flight manager, Mr Nelson as well as the entire staff of Delta at the Cheddi Jagan international airport, assisted us tremendously to make our flight as comfortable and without stress……. We are very grateful for their kind and courteous service………..

Please keep up the good work guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe people live — or have been taught to be — to be entertained. Serious issues like torture, killing, war, corruption, genocide are not things they feel they can do anything about, and aren’t funny, but everyone can take a laugh at some frivolous event of no importance, and pretend to be intelligent by commenting upon it (and believe me, the irony is not lost on me either). Which is perhaps why Paris Hilton and Sarah Palin get more press and commentary than more deserving issues.

Not really a good commentary on our times.
