Great stuff. We have so many of our ministers who are working hard but their efforts are not showing up because they are not working with a larger plan and nothing is strategic and connects. TTheir leader lacks vision and they are afraid to tell him. The same is happening with Health. Look Minister Ramsammy is a star with the work he is doing. He has his faults but he has been doing a lot. But he has been making micro contributions. His efforts in health is not tied to the socio-economic determinants of health which are developmental by nature. This can only happen through a coordinated planning process such as what I read is happening with the HIV/AIDS program and this was only after the donors insist on a strategic multisectoral multistakeholder plan.

Any way I understand from some of my PPP friends that Dr. Ramsammy will be coming to Canada later in the month to give some talks about some health matters in some provinces. I understand he will be in Toronto and Halifax. I would be delighted to meet with this guys to give him my personal congratulations for his leadership in health despite the short comings of the system. He deserves our credit.
