When was the last time the american embassy in Guyana issued a holiday visa to a single person wanting to come her for a vacation? Guyana seems to be at the very bottom of the barrel -- for the most part becaues there are those of us who take our bad habits of stealing and other criminal activities everywhere we go and that is a shame. Because right now there are more guyanese in Rickers island prison waiting to be deported to guyana because they came here two years ago and thought that instead of working honestly, it would be best to get into the drug business and we all know the result of that. It may make you rich, but for how long? on the other hand there are those of us who go out to work and are satisfied to work for 400 a week and pay two weeks in rent and do the best with the rest of it while keeping to ourselves. Of course not everyone will be satisfied with that because they intend to get rich immedialtely after stepping off the plane. That is the most stupid way to think because it always ends one of two ways, you are either killed or after serving time in prison, you get deported back to guyana (Bush is not playing about this). then that of course more problems where the deportees with no job and possible no more family in Guyana who have to live somehow. Hence the roberies and increased killings. Bottom line is they, like everyone else has to survive and since the Guyana government has no program in place for these people to learn some kind of skill, hence the results we see now. May God help us.
