<description>I think it is a travesty that the majority of the people of Guyana are indoctrinated to believe and /or accept the fictitious claim Janet Rosenberg is a Guianese.
The fact is precise. Mrs. Janet Jagan was birthed in the city of Chicago in the state of Illinois, in the USA. Janet Jagan ought not to be regarded as Guianese.
It is clear ethnic politics has been perpetuated upon the people of Guiana by the PAC, the PPP and the PNC.
In fact, I am far more interested in the life, and the trial of murder of Dorothy Rice in 1915 than I am in Mrs. Janet Jagan.
Wasn’t Mrs. Eleanor Swedin a member of the Local Authority of the Rose Hall Village District on the Corentyne Coast? I am aware; Mrs. Eleanor Swedin was the first female to be elected the Chairperson of a Local Authority in the Colony of British Guiana. Also there were perhaps three elections at the Local Authority of the Rose Hall Village District simply because Mrs. Eleanor Swedin was a female. The fact; Mrs. Eleanor Swedin was also of East Indian heritage did not help matters. I believe this occurred during the period December 1930 to January or February of 1931. I am not sure of the exact dates of the local elections. Certainly, Mrs. Eleanor Swedin ought to be considered for enshrinement as a national she-ro (heroine) of the nation of Guyana. I also believe an exclusive research and documentation of that research must be conducted not only of the life of Eleanor Swedin but several females especially those who made contributions to the de3velopment of British Guiana before 1939. By this I am referring to numerous females of the village movement and those who were school teachers trained at the Teachers Training Colleges in Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, Antigua and British Guiana.
Articles relative to Janet Jagan are at best; tiresome, boring and unwholesome.
