I ws once so proud of it , now I am embarrased and hurting because of the crime and the inability or gross indifference on the part of Government Officials to investigate and prosecute criminals. Conversely, when someone is apprehended as a suspect, instead of getting a fair trial they are often beaten, their human righs violated, and at times found dead while in police custody. Under other Governments in Guyana, there was never such lawlessness propogated in its history as now with the present Government. No wonder visitors and Guyanese abroad are afraid to visit. My country Guyana.
