UG, Critchlow Labor college and the Mon Repo school are only a few examples , where a nation like Guyana, who was once proud of its academic standards and students but is now frightened, ashamed and embarrassed of the word education and learning. WOW!...Just mere decades ago, this used to be priority number one, hands down, for a poor country as opposed to five star hotels, cricket stadiums and festivals.
