Dear Editor,
The Mahdia Housing Scheme project has been at a standstill for the past four years. From then to now the population has increased sharply.

The Hill Top, the hub of the society, is clustered with shops and residential buildings. As a result, people are encroaching and squatting on the bona fide premises of others thus causing land ownership conflicts.
I urge Lands and Surveys to resolve these disputes. I also urge the Ministry of Housing to continue the Housing Scheme project, so that those vast bushy stretches of unoccupied lands on the outskirts of Mahdia could be transformed into a housing paradise to be called appropriately, Greater Mahdia. This is my suggestion to solve the housing congestion.
Yours faithfully,
George Carrington
