I have a little knowledge of aviation aquired from working in the industry for over ten years and that is not a qualification to question Mr. Barclay’s statements and observations which impress me as being factual.
I have and am still trying to understand why the expertise of Capt. Gouveia, Mr. Barclay and (there are other superbly qualified Guyanese available) were not utilised in an advisory capacity as a precursor to the acquisition of avionic equipment.

Mr. Barclay I take my hat off to you. I might not understand aviation business but the long and detailed letter today speaks volumes. Thank you for taking the time out to explain to our citizens how their tax dollars are wasted.
I know who you are as a professional and your boss Capt. Gouviea, who even though not perfect is a damn striaghtforward and professional guy. I know he loves his country. Any country would be blessed to have a citizen as patriotic as he is. Everyone, educated or not, wonders still why President Jagdeo never consulted Gerry Gouveia.
