Dear Editor,
I have heard everyone talking but no one seems to be doing anything but talk. I really believe that the relevant authorities should take urgent steps to review the speed limit on the roads. Besides being hazardous, policemen and women are taking advantage of the situation and are also harassing drivers on the road. I know it’s enforcing the law, but clearly this is one that needs urgent review. Personally, I believe that 70 km as opposed to 48 km is reasonable.
I hope that my letter would encourage others to urge the relevant authorities to do something quickly.
Yours faithfully,
(Name and address supplied)

….. 48 kms is way too much speed for many of the streets in GY ,, compounding this with the in – experience of many of the “nouveau riche” drivers in the race with the ” 12 SEATERS ” carrying 20 !……………
….. oh ! an ah fuhget ,, de four footers ,, whose owners feel they own the roads as their “pasture and pen”,, an de two footers ,, who feel they have a right to — bcos we mek um —,, drink de gole medle ,, anden use de vehicle fuh kill ‘eself and many aders too in de process……………
Sounds reasonable, but why the need for anonymity? Scared of losing something?
…… just curious ! r u talking to me ??? i hope not ,, however if indeed it is me ,,,, i think ur ? cuts both ways ,, cos i’m positive that irreverend is not the name on ur b/certificate !….
SN would have to get my permission to reveal my name to u or anyone else for that matter !……..
My barefoot opinion
Within Georgetown 40 Kph
On the Main roads around Georgetown; Mandela, Sheriff, Carifesta, – 60 kph
Rupert Craig – 75 kph
This is possible with the aid of working traffic lights
70k. in g/t would kill 1/2 the people in g/t in a month.
in toronto most of the roads are 40—50—or60k.
on wider and more lights and policing.
the speed limit needs to be reviewed. I would say 60 k is good.
