really, are they doing a good job? there is a joke in guyana" if you want to become rich become a traffic policeman". ask the hire car drivers how much harrassment they get from traffic officers. last august when i was in guyana i was trying to catch a funeral for a friend who died. another freind picked me up at supenaam on the essequibo coast and when we reached zorg we had to join a long caravan with a police car at the front. my friend explained to methat no vehicle can pass the police carin front or the wii be charged. one afternoon i was liming at anna regina car park . some hire car had parked head and tail in the park. a police car came up and an officer came out with a loud speaker. he ordered all the cars there to park with fronts facing forward. is that a traffic law?

What is this?

Why would SN publsih such a letter that lacks particulars, examles and pertinent
information to support the platitudinous statement that " I would like to commend the efforts of the policemen and women who work tirelessly...."

Where are the facts?
How many charges were laid?
What were the details of those charges?
Have such charges declined over a period of time as evidence of improvement?

Pure rubbish of a letter and probably sent by a family member of the traffic cops.

Shush man !
