Moses Nagamootoo maybe did not agree with Jagdeo on some levels. Jagdeo is running a dictatorship, and anyone who at least see someting in a different view will be censored. I am saddened as well as angry at the state of that country that I have so many fond memories of.

Come on! President Nagamootoo! Even the name does not have a ring to it and no one will take this man seriously. Please, like me! like me! What manner of man is he that is perceived to be begging for acceptance.
Also, don't play that tune that he "fought for the restoration of democracy and freedom against the dictatorship." If that were the case, then he should 'go to the mattresses now' and do the same against this administration

Raj of Richmond Hill, I never said or implied that Moses should not have done what he had done back then. The point is that if Moses is a man of principle, he will continue to do the same thing he did back then because the situation is the same and to some worse. Raj of Richmond Hill seems to give the impression that only if you live in Richmond Hill you have fought for democracy in Guyana. Raj of Richmond Hill's definition of democracy is that the wrongs of the PPP are excusable and should be swept under the carpet and that of the PNC should be condemned in the most horrible terms. So who is they hypocrite, me or you?

I can tell you plainly that I felt used by the PPP because I helped with MY HARD EARNED CASH TO PUT THEM IN POWER IN 1992. THEY CONNED MANY OF US WITH HIS PROMISE OF AN INCLUSIVE GOVERNMENT CHEDDI SAID WOULD HAVE INCLUDED ALL PROGRESSIVE FORCES WHO WERE CHAMPIONING THE CAUSE FOR DEMOCRACY AGAINST THE PNC.

Which is why now, I am involved with my time and my money in a number of programs in Guyana which would deepen democracy from merely electoral 'democracy' to a democracy which is defined by leadership, accountability and respect for our constitutional institutions (no matter who is in government). A kind of payback to the folks back home whom I helped to finance their continued oppression and demise, and as a form of therapy for me.

The challenges faced by many like myself who are engaged in programs to enlighten and empower my brothers and sisters at home in their civic responsibilities and human and constitutional rights are hamstrung by a general fear of the PPP President and his cabal unleashing their fury on them and because of hypocrites in the diaspora who continue to delude in the fact that Guyana is a democracy under the PPP. Ask the many your family back in Guyana about their fear. Ask businessmen and persons of means in Guyana who donotes money to worthwhile programs why they insist that they do not want recognition for their good and noble deeds. They would tell you that they fear the tax man will be sent to check on their books and whether they paid full duties on their imports and VAT. Of course we know that many don't and they don't want to jeapordise their way of survival in business in Guyana. Then there is evidence of known criminals meanacing people who speak out against the atrocities of this government and the police cannot seem to get any way beyond a load of diatribe from the press officer. I really do admire Ramjattan, yuh know, (it was easier for Trotman, the PNC is a 'toothless tiger') for his bravery, fairness and selflessness and I do hope he will be richly rewarded for his committment to true democracy...he got kicked out of his own party for being a maverick, a noncomfirmist to the PPP brand of 'democracy' unlike poor Moses who got kicked out because he refused to face the reality of what his beloved PPP had become..

My philosophy is, I am not wanted in a house, I move and live where I get comfort. Moses is a smart man, maybe he does not feel ostracized in Freedom House. Maybe he does not see or feel things the same as others. The man fought Burnham, guess he is fighting Jagdeo too. Lets see what happens

Shouldn't you Evan Thomas have fought the PNC, Burnham and Hoyte - to bring back true democracy?

If you yourself Evan Thomas would not fight for "true democracy" then you are a hypocrite.

Mr.Moses Nagamootoo you would always be a voice crying in the wilderness, why couldn't you do like"Prak"Khemraj Ramjattan who went away and teamed up with Trotman and others and made a great impact in the last elections with the A.F.C if you had joined up with them then things would have turned out differently,Ramjattan were begging you to join their party but instead you run back like a puppy to Freedom House, although you said"a dun wid y'all yo"the P.P.P realize you have nowhere to go now,and Grandpa Cheddi is not there to help you,so you would be used like uncle joe's old horse.Continue waiting for the next elections,mr.Ramotar already stake that claim. Thanks Khemraj you had the balls to move on your own.

This is a vendetta against the PPP stalwart, Moses Nagamootoo.

The real question is who is the perpetrator driving this vendetta? He must be a small man with a small mind. But somehow he got the power to execute the vendetta.

Let it be said, sometimes, even such a powerful person with such immense power falls from grace and suffers ignominy.

Whatever he sees or feels, he is helpless to do anything.
Is the Guyanese populace must see and feel how things are in Guyana.
"You cannot try the devil case in hell, when the devil himself is the judge"
Come on fellow Guyanese, "time for change" and stop such dictatorship in our country.
