Many people complain about the lack of or the timeliness of the Police response. It seems that the Police are taking steps in making sure that you don’t call them by not answering the 911 calls. And they further cover up their lack of response to the 911 line by having a little educational advertisement warning people not to make prank calls to the 911 number. As if to say that it is because the foolish idiots of the public are making crank calls to the 911 line that they (the Police) are not going to answer it because it is wasting their time and that any problems (beatings, robberies, rapes, mass killings, etc.) that stem from their not answering the 911 calls is actually the fault of the same foolish idiots of the public!
What a twisted knotted rope.
The year is 2008. We have a digital telephone system. All calls are logged. Identify the prank callers. Fine the prank callers. Answer the damn 911 phone. No more excuses.

It’s a shame that the police have a 911 system and it’s not operating up to par, what is the purpose of it, if it’s not being answered.

In all seriousness, you are so right.
The basic situation is that there is a lack of resources.
It is good to have the lines installed but if there are no resources,
one has to devised a means of protection and that is simple,
DO NOT ANSWER BUT BLAME PRANKSTERS
Man this is so easy.
An alternate system:would be to have tawo digit numbers for
the various wards and villages, so by and large the location
pof the pranksters can be identified quickly. Also one system
some forces used is to keep the caller on the line while
a despatch team heads out.

there are cases where the police and army personnel were involved in crimes.some bandits have military training.some military personnel are getting rich although their salaries are low.a private agency is now needed to work along with the police to reduce and solve crimes and to check if the crimes are organised.a former president said that there is state within the state of guyana and the police cannot go in that small state.the present president said that he has evidence that bandits are linked to pnc ;so take necessary actions.i feel the ppp is in efficient when it comes to handling crimes and they are fooling the nation.
