Dear Editor,
Just a few days ago I was walking around my community where I came into contact with some young people who expressed concerns for their future in Guyana. Many felt marginalized, discriminated against and sometimes left out because of their ethnicity. This is evidence that our country is in trouble and is in need of leadership, vision and youth inclusiveness. A change of administration is the only option that comes to mind.
I then expressed to them that all hope is not lost. Betterment may seem a formidable task because of the mismanagement and incompetence of the PPP/C administration, but surely it is surmountable if we as Guyanese put an end to racial voting and confront issues of major concern vociferously. The youths have lost all hope and confidence in the PPP/C administration. The question is, who is able and capable of restoring the hope of young people and relieving them of the epidemics of unemployment, marginalization and discrimination? My answer is simple: Mr Robert HO Corbin. With his experience, knowledge and vision, he is the only viable leader.
His vision is consistent with needs of young people across the country; the vision of a better tomorrow. Rest assured that he has the tenacity and the determination to restore the happiness Guyanese once enjoyed.
Evidence of his determination, commitment and passion for the development of youths is in the implementation of some aspects of the Youth Empowerment Scheme (YES), which has already benefited quite a number of youths and parents in many of our communities.
His vision is second to none, and includes all Guyanese, regardless of race, creed or political affiliation, to quench their thirst for a brighter future. His vision also speaks of a transformed Guyana, recognizing that the onerous demands of managing this country require the collective effort of all: building strong families with healthy values, strengthening communities, enhancing our educational system, and reducing unemployment.
It offers hope through opportunities for persons to develop themselves intellectually, socially, culturally and economically. I am encouraging everyone to read his 2004 and 2006 congress speeches. This is the real vision of a true visionary.
Yours faithfully,

the tone and content of Ms Todds missive is a early warning sign for her parents to take her to a doctor to have her head examine
Oh……ms. todd guyanese have never enjoyed free and fair elections;i repeat NEVER,so contrary to popular misinformation and misconception ,indians dont vote race in the numbers that would consistently give ppp a majority in parliment,if anyone does nt understand this they are retarded,RIGGED is the word. Our youths need to realise depending on the likes of corbin and jagdeo for change is like jumping off mount roarima and hoping for the best, look please ms todd if you want to be taken seriously around here please……………………………?
ammm ,,, i juss have dis to say ,, i fine it reel amazin dat two or mo’ people can think to say or do de same ting all at de same time ,, yesiree daffy ,, ( dat is fond fuh daft ) — tho to him ,, he feels loved wen i call him daffy — de lil lady ,, and her mealy mouthed rhetoric ,, that is over flowing with “vision” a vision that is myopic ,, and tunneled,,,, her intentions have merit ,, but i’m not convinced that she is guided by her own principles ,, which makes me wonder ,, abt her ability to proffer visions of her own ,, or is her youthful innocence being manipulated as a means to and end ??????????
I can see the end……Ms Todd probably bent over backwards, probably.haha
corbin will end racial voting! don’t make me laugh.
Ms. Todd. I think that your immediate resignation, from your present position, will be of better service to the youths, that you are so concerned about. Look what is taking place world wide. Are you so visionless, as to mention the name Corbin and young people in the same sentence. ” O’ judgement, art thou fled to brutish beasts, and men have lost their reason.”
An alledged rapist who never came before the courts for sexual assault because he was a Burnham stooge is never going to be the leader of Guyana…Visionary leader he never was or will be,i feel sorry for the likes of Ms. Todd, what a shame
Wow, the moderator let this one pass, wake him up.
Ms. Todd would better her country if she asked Corbie to resign from the Party she love
Miss Tandica Todd,You have a right to express you views in your letter, but if you read these bloggs, you should get the message. You need to do some serious research before you write letters about Politicians. Those of us who know better by personal experience, cannot agree with those sentiments. It is also my view that Robert has outlived his usefulness.Did you get any assistance when you were drafting that letter?.I have a suspicion you were manipulated.
Oh Tandica. I do hope you have learnt a valuable listen and not allow anyone to manipulate ever again.
Do you wonder why you were chosen to pen this letter? I wish you would reassess your position and that of the Leader you seem to love so much. Corbin is a waste of time. And if you continue this crusade, I’m afraid you too will be seen as a waste of time. Hope it’s not too late.
I sincerely hope that your National Executive does not endorse this view of yours. If so shame! shame! shame ! on them all.
I said a prayer for you my child…”Father forgive her, she knows not what she writes.”
well ms.todd has a right to express her views of the leadership of the pnc, and i have a right to disagree with her, but i think that the pnc leadership need a change, i was disappointed when mr alexander lost in his bid for the leadership of the pnc who i i believe would have put some fresh ideas into the party, hence this attempt to change leadership i must take it that it’s members are not satisfied with the way in wich corbin is leading the flock. fresh ideas, progressive thinkings, and a firm, ccourageous attitude is what is need to take the party to the next level.
