Dear Editor,
GEB Security Services Inc would like to publicly express our appreciation to the Guyana Police Force and all those other officers for the highly professional execution of duties by the squad of officers who were involved in apprehending the criminals and actually recovering the payroll intact in the recent robbery involving the GuySuCo payroll operation.

The success of this operation has indeed highlighted the following:
1.  The close collaboration and virtual instant communication between private security companies and the police with joint service involvement.  Communication technology has significantly improved our ability to communicate directly with law enforcement agencies and secure back-up when under criminal attack.

2.  The quick action of law enforcement officers resulted not only in the apprehension of the suspects, but also the retrieval of the funds stolen and weapons.  This has definitely sent a strong deterrent message to the criminal elements.

We look forward to the private security industry, ie The Guyana Association of Private Security Organiza-tions (GAPSO) and the Guyana Police Force’s continued efforts in working together to enhance and enforce security in our society for the protection of all law-abiding citizens.
Yours faithfully,
Maurice Amres
Chief Executive Officer

Now if only they would show the same “due diligence” with protecting the lives of the citizens that they show in protecting the assest of Guysuco.

The rogue elements of the GDF must be held responsible for the Lindo massacre. Even if it was done in error, they must stand trial.

There is no hope for law enforcement in Guyana if they are not held accountable.

I guess ads withdrawal from SN has taught it not to get involved in investigative reporting and tow the line……. sad …..

Next thing you know the old man driving out a big helluva MF tractor. The guard jaw drop to the pave. Was money to buy the tractor the old man, a farmer, had in he bag.

Hackett is indeed hilarious, but my grandmother told me that a Cash Canister with wages for sugar workers at Nonpariel Estate, fell out of the Land rover on the way to Nonpariel. They only knew it was not there, when they reached the pay office.A market vendor saw when the cannister fell out,and she put down her produce, lifted the cannister, placed it on her head and took it to Vigilance Police Station. She went back, collected her produce, and continued her journey to the road-side market in the Estate.

The Police did a great job. On a scale from 1 to 100 I would give them 97.5%. They did a really good job and they must have acted professionally and should be rewarded or get some incentive or something.
