Dear Editor,
The Guyana Water Inc (GWI) has failed to deliver a drop of water through the pipes in the communities of McDoom and Agricola for the past week. Moreover, on a number of previous occasions this year the GWI piplines have gone dry in these two communities.
And now GWI has not had the common courtesy to offer any explanation to their consumers about their current plight after seven days.
This disrespectful silence compounds the technical problem with a communication glitch. This is just not good enough as it can’t be business as usual.
In addition, the ‘Press Room’ on the company’s website appears to be as dormant as the Public Relations Department, notwithstanding the recently publicised GWI Public Day billed for Fridays.
GWI, your silence has only added insult to injury.
Yours faithfully,
Lloyd Conway
Editor’s note
We are sending a copy of this letter to the PRO of GWI, Mr Rawle Aaron, for any comments he might wish to make.

….. mo’ square pegs in DEEP round holes !……… it’s been this way for decades ,,

Normal GWI style.. the Agricola station has been plagued with problems.
GWI please give an explantation to the people in that neighbourhood about the water situation that is going on in their community. I am so fed up with all the negative things you read on a daily basic in the stabroek-news about what is going on in Guyana. But at the end of the year they are looking for the home owners to pay there rate and taxes and they are not getting water for weeks, how could that be fair ? The government needs some company from abroad to buy the GPL, GWI and what other companies that are be screwed up by the government. Shame on you guys water is very important in our lives and if we do not get it we can and will die, where is Guyana heading ? I am so happy that I am no longer residing there any more but I still have to think of my friends and family who are there.
GUYANA NEEDS A CHANGE AND ” YES WE CAN ” WE NEEDS AN OBAMA FOR OUR NEW PRESIDENT AND PLEASE STOP THE DISCRIMATION. ONE RACE AND THAT IS THE HUMAN RACE.AS BOB MARLEY SAID ONE LOVE.
