Churchianty has by its inherent nature given a new and false label to the life in Christ. The Mosaic laws foreshadowed spiritual tithe required of us in the new testament. The essence of such spiritual life embodies agapae and agapao relationships. Financial donations for specific occasions in the interest of the one-another ministry is essential.
The manner of tithing in the many places of assembling has profane the work of the Lord. However the who cause many to stumble continue in their mind to prosper.

Religion give god a bad name. All religion is man made made to

control people.

Over one million religion is around the word, and yes everybody religion is the right one.

Keep it simple let your CONSCIENCE BE GUIDANCE.

Well, YOU tell us who are the false prophets and who are the true one. And the ones you call false will turn and PROVE that YOU are false and THEY are true. And using the Bible doesn't make one bit of difference. One man's false prophet is another man's true prophet.

There are false prophets and there are genuine prophets. If people study the Bible they will know the difference. If someone do not live what the Bible teaches then people should run from his church. As much as people need support from members and pastors, people need to depend on God and not man. Trust God for yourselves and prove that he is real.

Sure, religion gets along fine without God. Lots of preacher who went to theology school learned the truth about the orgins of the Bible and the existence of God and so they no longer believe spiritually in either but... what they heck!... a man's gotta eat!

How would you know the false when everybody claims to be true and that everybody else is false? Kinda confusing, eh? And they all using the same Bible, or different versions, and different interpretations, and .... it's a rat race in religion as in any other all-too-human enterprise.

Let's not forget those famous words "Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it"

As mentioned in the article about the Ministries who were under investigation in the US, Joyce Myers.... I do not recall an out come to that investigation. So in essence they are just allegations. Correct me if I am wrong.

But keep in mind when folks are faced with hardship and it seems as if they are up against a wall, it is my belief that they will look for an outlet and look towards each other for comfort. When in essence they should be looking towards themselves and the saviour for strength. A religious organization may represent what that individual may seem to be lacking as folks finds comfort and support in numbers. Hopefully that organization is legitimate.

Because times are challenging and have became stressful of late because of the situation in Guyana; folks are looking to fill the void left by the seeming lack of support from their government. They may or may not be looking in the wrong direction. Who knows!

If this church has the making or markings of a "cult" then they should all run like Forest Gump.
I remember an organization once, segregated but powerful nonetheless with the domination of the airways Saturdays or was it Sundays with their religious message/broadcast. In a classical but tragic scheme of quid pro quo (you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours, the Guyana government allow them to live unattended in Jonestown - Bingo, "the Infamous" Jim Jones (James Warren) and The People's Temple, The Guyana Massacre (1978) where Jim Jones and his followers in the world's shocking mass suicide/murder. Some investigative reports say 914 persons were killed and some said 911 persons were killed.

Aye, so let's not forget what happened right in Guyana's backyard.

It is not the church that makes money, it is the pastors who build these building with the intentions of enriching themselves. If someone could find one that goes out and feed the poor, provide for the down-trodden and build recreation facilities it would make my day. Check out their lifestyles and see if you notice anything godly:- designer suits, private jets, million dollar cars, multi-million dollar palaces and diamond rings. They sell everything from pieces of cloth to candles, yet they preach to the congregants of the evils of material wealth, and love offerings that should be made for financial blessings. If those that attend sit just think for one minute and try to figure out how they could become wealthy if their earnings are fixed at $2,000 a month, don't play the lottery and gave the prophet $200 a month. I once saw a local prophet conversing with two foreigners and his entire conversations was on love offerings and businesses that should give 'x' amounts of cash to be blessed. Never once during his conversation did he mention doing anything for anyone. His pool is restricted to his family and his followers work like slaves in his home cleaning and cooking. You all know who these false prophets are. I want them to prove themselves not by performing fake healings but by turning rain water into red wine. I often wonder if they ever entertained the thought that their 'hard earned' wealth and mansions cannot be taken to the grave. They will be judged in the end.

Hmm a phenomenal church with branches in many areas of the country and lots of TV time . Yet the country is loaded with crime : rape , murder Banditry ,bribery , adultery , fornication and the City flooding with garbage floating around. Thought the church was supposed to preach against these ills and help people improve. Maybe it's one of these Scientology church ( like the banner above the comments )Ha.
I hope people understand that if they study the Good Book and do what it says ,then it will open their understanding , so they will think correctly, wake up and stop financing that church. Invest in GOD , he changes poeple , not church . Too much Jim bakers out there , don't be fooled again ,you could loose your life ! Don't forget Jones Town !!

Religon is a money making business, it has nothing to do with God. I always wondered when I was growing up if someone loves God and wants to spread his word, why should they be paid. Pastors, preachers and leaders of many churches live off the donation and tithes of the church members, most of them poor people.

We have to be our brother's keeper. In essence I watch his back and he watches mine. We all know what will happen in the last days, but are we to stand by and allow ourselves and others to be taken to the cleaners.

I have a hypothetical question.
Suppose a person in his earnest conviction donates money, say a great sum of money, to a religious organization, and later finds out that that organization was a fraud, can he take that organization to court to recoup his donation?

Mr Persaud why are you bothered, the Bible said in the last days false prophets will rise up among us. No one can tell me that the few names you mentioned are all false prophets. I know the God I serve and if he thinks a shepherd is leading his flock astray he will deal with it accordingly when the time comes, as of now I will continue to give thanks and praise. You should try it and don't concern yourself with other people's problem, if they aren't bothered why should you be.

This article only reinforces the obvious that many churches are more focused on financial and material gain than providing a genuine support of religious needs to the poor and ignorant. People need to wake up and learn to be open minded by doing proper research before accepting traditions imposed on to us.
