Well, get a recycling plant started by simply melting all collected plastics. In the meantime, what do you plan to use? Banana leaves will do.

The people seem not to care about their environment nor their surroundings. Styrofoam food containers and plastic water/drink bottles litter the landscape of Guyana.
This is the first thing visitors are welcomed with in the capital city.
Who want to leave their nice cities around the world to visit a garbage dump!!!

..... the pervasiveness of "mindlessness" ! soon all will be consumed by exponential growth ! we r eight days away from the expected opening of the BRB ,, it would be the only reason i would come back to Gy ,, since it was my dream as a child ,, to have the joy of driving -- or being driven -- across the Berbice River !...

now ,, because of the prevailing scenarios ,, of crime ,, and the wanton killling of humans ,, by humans ,, compounded by the corruption ,, by these mindless morons ,, i fear for the lives of those in Gy ,, who are still alive !

maybe with the recent flooding and the site of garbbage all over the place will act as a deterant and maybe, just maybe folks will be cautious in the future about trashing their own environment.

with the goverment, that is an entire story. However, it is really sad to see the state the city and how Guyana is evolving in a backwards manner and spiralling out of control in a black hole.
