Fire at Friendship

All gone:

Fire, suspected to be electrical in origin, yesterday destroyed a two-storey wooden building at Lot 17 North Friendship, East Coast Demerara. The building was occupied by Collis John and Corwyn Peters. John said he was in the yard around 10 am yesterday when he heard what sounded like an explosion and upon investigating saw the house on fire. He said that the house had been experiencing electrical problems for some time now, but representatives of GPL had checked and found no problems. The entire house was destroyed and nothing was saved.
