Cuba’s outgoing Ambassador to Guyana Franscisco Marchante Castellanos said that his three years spent here were fruitful and memorable, the highlight being the signing of several agreements with the government here and President Bharat Jagdeo’s visit to Cuba.   According to a GINA press release, Castellanos paid a courtesy call to the President’s office on Monday to bid farewell after his three-year stint.
He said that during his period of service here, he contributed to fostering a better relationship between the two countries, the evidence being the completion of four diagnostic centres in Guyana and the presence of more doctors here than any other time before.
