Art talk: The Minister of Culture Dr Frank Anthony (left), UNICEF Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean Nils Kastberg (centre) and UNICEF representative Johannes Wedenig reviewing the Children’s Art Mural on the Georgetown Seawall yesterday. Minister Anthony said he hoped the mural would be used as a source of education and discussion between parents and children. Kastberg said: “Guyanese children are sending messages that they want peace and harmony and recreation, the type of Guyana we would like for the future.” He also urged parents to protect children from violence especially in the home and stated that more should be done to protect young females from abuse and sexual assault and added that the men should also assist in doing so.
