Ms Renaissance 2008!

Thirty-one-year-old Quacy Mc Gowan was early yesterday morning crowned the new Ms Renaissance Queen at the National Cultural Centre. The Mae’s teacher outdid 12 other contestants to be crowned queen just after 1 am yesterday.

    What was this contest all about? For the 20 years i lived in Guyana I never heard of a Ms Renaissance contest. Please enlighten me some more, on when it started, who does it benefit etc etc.
