GraceKennedy Remittance Services (GKRS) on Thursday donated a bench to the Palms Geriatric Institution in keeping with its objectives to fulfill its social responsibility. GKRS Marketing Assistant Odetta Noel handed over the bench at a simple ceremony hosted at the Palms. She said the company intends to make similar contributions. Ireen Thomas, a social worker attached to the Palms expressed gratitude on behalf of the Ministry of Labour, Human Services and Social Security for the tangible contribution made by GKRS. She gave assurances that the bench would be of great benefit to the inmates. GKRS donated the bench in response to a request from the ministry for the supply of much needed furniture.
