Over 300 children squealed with delight as Santa Claus made his way into the Rotary Club of Stabroek Christmas party to share toys and other goodies. According to a press release the children had also benefited from the Club’s vocational projects at Buxton, Nismes, La Grange and Bagotsville. Rotarians worked assiduously to select, wrap and sort gifts for Santa to ensure that each child received the perfect Christmas gift. Each child was also given a scrumptious meal and a lucky packet to take home.
The Club said the gesture was made possible through the support of UNICEF, Demerara Distillers Limited, Car Care, DeSinco Trading, Ansa McAl Trading, Banks DIH, COPS Guyana Ltd and John Lewis Styles.
The party was hosted at the Banks DIH’s Sports Club.
