A man had to be rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital  (GPH) yesterday after sustaining several gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen.

According to a hospital press release, Lloyd Torres, 26, of Little Diamond, East Bank Demerara was injured during an altercation with another man.

He was admitted a patient in the institution’s High Dependency Unit and last night was listed in a critical but stable condition.
