The mother of 22-year-old Alexis Porter, who went missing after travelling to a creek with a male friend, was yesterday still looking for her, even as she heard rumours that her daughter’s bloated body had floated up at the creek.

Alexis PorterHowever, when Yevette Porter checked with police there was no such report. She said the father of her child received a call to that effect and they decided to check with the police only to be told that it was just a rumour.

She was also told yesterday morning that her daughter was at the Georgetown Public Hospital with broken legs but when she rushed to the institution her daughter was not a patient. The woman said she rushed to the hospital even though she suspected that the report might not be true as she had checked the entire hospital on Wednesday.

The woman said she returned to the Vigilance Police Station yesterday morning and was told that officers went to the Vigilance home of the male friend Alexis had left home with on Sunday, but found that he was not at home on both occasions. She told them that they should check at his place of employment. The woman said she wanted the police to question the young man, known as ‘Shallow’, since she believed he had not been telling the truth.

The young man has been a regular visitor to the home and on Sunday last he visited and invited Alexis to the creek opposite Splashmin’s Fun Park. Alexis has not returned home to date. When questioned by Porter on Tuesday, ‘Shallow’ told her that Alexis had left his group of friends stating she was going to travel with a friend of hers. He said that he had not seen her since.

Yes, indeed, this is very strange.

And it is evident that we have more than one suspects, the police should act immediately and take these people in for questioning.

:( That poor baby, young girls take warning, don’t get carried away with men!!

  4. LE VE GT UNITED STATES says:

Both occasions mr”shallow” is missing in action, is he avoiding the po po? Next,we will hear he skipped the country and another unsolved crime has taken place. The police need to be more aggressive with these kinds of things; too much time has lapsed since Sunday. Is it normal for Alexis to be gone for days? Sounds like crap, if he took her out there’s no way he will let her travel with friend back to her home. I don’t see any concern for this girl’s disappearance from Shallow.

With all the recent violence especially against women, the police need to pay more attention to the man she was with.
It is quite sad to see our beautiful country so awashed in it’s citizens blood. It is beyond comprehension that another human being can inflict such carnage against each other.I pray and hope that this young woman is safe and will be found as such.
One can only imagine the pain in her family’s hearts especially her mother.
Mr. policemen do your duty and find this young woman.
