Europe Caribbean Lines (ECL) has added the MV Beautriumph to its fleet of cargo vessels serving Guyana from Holland and the UK.
In a press release the company said the new vessel will now take cargo from Guyana to Europe, a service not previously offered. It will offer a faster transit time, schedule integrity and more efficiency the company said.
ECL local agent Demerara Shipping Company Limited welcomes the new addition as it will allow them to play a greater role in the movement of break-bulk and containerised cargo to and from Europe.
Meanwhile, ECL Managing Director Gerrie Ubink said the company will soon add two more vessels to its fleet.

Who says that good news never make it into the newspapers!
Congratulations and a big thank you to ECL Managing Director Gerrie Ubink for making Europe to Guyana shipping more efficient.
Now, we must ensure the ships leaving the Guyanese port are as fully laden as possible.
Let us export produce and let us bring in dollars. A perfect formula!
execellent but please only legall cargo ..
This is good news. The legitimate business sector should respond robustly and lower the risk factor for this brave entrepreneur – Europe Caribbean Lines (ECL).
….and the security forces should get up off their duffs and screen incoming and outgoing cargo professionally.
