A 28-year-old actress who allegedly presented a forged CSEC certificate to the Ministry of Health was placed on $200,000 bail when she appear-ed before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Sonia Yarde of Lot 4 Norton Street, Georgetown was before Magistrate Priya Beharry facing charges of uttering a forged document and conspiracy to commit a felony.
It is alleged that on July 23 with intent to defraud, Yarde uttered a forged Caribbean Secondary Examination Certificate (CSEC) to the Ministry of Health, purporting to show that she had obtained grade twos in Biology and Caribbean History and grade ones in English Language, Principles of Business and Social Studies.
Further, it is alleged that between January 1, 1996 and July 31 last year she conspired to forge the said CSEC certificate.
Magistrate Beharry granted Yarde bail in the sum of $100,000 on each charge. The matter is to continue on September 24.

This is shameful, but not too shameful. This is a practice in almost all ministries.
well she certainly was not acting in this case.This is a real situation.Hope she feels the brunt of the law & it serves as a deterrent to would be fraudsters… The only way out of overcoming temptations of such like is to COMMIT ONE SELF TO CHRIST(the annointed one);a man will as a direct consequence be annointed for his true purpose!!!!!!

uhh thats unbelievable….im abit disappointed,an epic failure but i do hope she sort out this issue before it escalate she used to train me when i used to work in ministry of health as a peer counsellor….i still think she’s great though

this responder is a comedian, but lets laugh with him for i am sensing that his identity will land him in the pen one day too. but he is right the system in Guyana has become a joke, lets review many of the applications for important positions with this government and we will find out that many is not qualify for the position they hold that makes them rubber-stamps ( to put a name to them) we must also ask the question whom rubber-stamps are these. like for instance roger khan proclaiming his vigilante role as official and that going unnoticed in the Guyanese society for we never heard a condemnation from those in authority. now where is roger? he is the reputed international criminal who was going to stop crime in the republic of Guyana. ironically he is facing a life sentence in the u.s of a. anyway lets laugh with bedroombully for i think he has a sense of humor.

hi hell lousy, patriotism has it time and place but criminals are criminals there is no patriotism in crime, either you are a fool on a condole of wrong doers. any way i caution you to wake up for what ever the crime may be you would not speak the same it happen to you.
