The PPP/C has extended “a warm and traditional Guy-anese greeting” to all participants in Carifesta X.
In a press release the party said it believes this cultural extravaganza will showcase the nation and the Caribbean to the world and provide “our citizens and artists with a golden opportunity to perform and flaunt their skills.”

The party said Carifesta X has the potential of boosting tourism, increasing trade with overseas partners and boosting the production of arts and crafts. It will highlight Guyana on the world stage and give a fillip to performers of cultural drama.

The PPP/C urged patrons and participants to celebrate the festival with fervour. It said it is in full support of the activities and urged overseas guests to enjoy the traditional Guyanese hospitality.
