So i guess you are amoung the majority that seem to think that everything is decent in Guyana or its still in a liveable state. Look at how much violence and mahem is down there. Yea the rest of the world have their problems and i’m not even Guyanese but my parents are and i have visited that country twice but i see the grief and dibelief on their faces everytime they hear news from down south.
And i always ask myself why can’t the country change whats the problem, So i went to the meetings in Ny and atlanta and realized that most of it has to do with the people and their mindset.
This might be unsettling for you my friend but a country changes through its people. I am an investor and i wanted to invest there and the amount of red tape and idiotic politics that is played out made me sick and the unprofessionalism of the people didn’t help either. So sorry for bein so hard to your people and the country of my parents.

I live there since I born. so I don’t have to ask any friend. Every Thursday I go to the RHT Bank a whole set of Guysuco workers line up there waiting for their salary from the ATM. And when they see me, they would say, hey, teach you not guysuco worker, go to the machine. Who say canecutters don’t have manners? Up to Sept month end just before I left for a lil rest.

Sometimes simple logics evade us, thus most of us get tangled up in by putting the cart before the horse. We need to STOP all the excuses about illiteracy and ID cards. These escuses don’t hold water in the US, and not even in Guyana anymore. Pay the workers in checks and see how fast they get ID, learn to read, open accounts and become civilized. Maintain the backward system of payment and you maintain a backward people. It is that simple.

possibly, but the shrimps and fish ponds in Fyrish owned by people who might not have wanted to allow him to ‘fish’ in it. It not easy to catch good & shrimp in trench. You got to have good fish & shrimp pond and that takes capital. Anyway he could a still try catch fish honestly somewhere else where people might not tek he fuh a tief man or a spy for tiefman.
