My learned brother,i understand your position and your valid arguments as a by product per-sey of the two major races myself i understand and agree with the valid points you made from what our history has taught us,due to this you and i have had to seek greener pastures. As i am now fully awake, but as much as our hearts bleeds for our mother country let us try to applaud every little effort in the scope of development of our land. Its been long overdue and i hope that when i return home this holiday after three years out i can see tangible evidence to smile about. I do not mix in politics,as a christian the Bible tell us that God sets up leaders and He knows when to remove them. So my learned brother of our grear land let not the little charades by the so called political leaders of the day discourage you and i,thats politics!

With all the pit falls of the me-too generations, the financial swamps we currently are engulf in, I gather from your tautological posits, it is good for all to be in a myopic entrapment, never mindful of what lurks around the corner.

You are entitle to yours as well, is this bridge for show or is it for economic development. We need only to remember free education from nursery to U.G, what did Guyana benefit when they were no Jobs for the Graduate who left the shore by the hundreds. I am bemuse that in this enlightened period one would be so myopic.
The time has come for bold initiative with long term cluster formation in mind. The bridge has not in my mind resulted from a policy development perspective but rather a political as a token to the Indians by their government in response to the PNC built Harbour Bridge.
WAKE UP BRO.

Hey man, by the time dem bad bad thing happen wa you talk about they will get mo money fu bill a betta bridge, the one they should have built in the first place; a concrete arch/suspension bridge. It would have cost more, but it would have lasted much much longer. They make Suriname look much smarter where bridging is concern!

I do not agree with you on that. But i guess that you are entitled to your opinion. I do however think that it is a step in the right direction. IT HAS BEEN LONG OVERDUE!

When I tell people here that we get 2 floating bridge they look at me as if I mad. "Floating bridge? What's that? I've never seen one. Interesting." And I got to say, well, we're still a developing country and is the best we can afford, although we did take 25 million US from India to build a sports stadium for WCC. One thing certain though, the bridge will be better than the Torani, Malali, Makouria, Sandaka and Baramini and the whole of THD put together. Is the best we can afford. Be thankful.

Listen bro...If i was building a bridge i would look for a sopt where the current from the waves wouldn't interfere with the barges alongside the bridge.........what if (and i pray to God it dont) a Tsunami happens in that same area??? They could have build that bridge futher down the Berbice River......and thats my honest opinion.........i dont know if you have seen the site (with your own eyes) since they start to build...........it's almost in the Atlantic Ocean Ulric.........Come back to Guyana and see what I am talking about
