The Indian Arrival Committee (IAC) has expressed  solidarity  with the government and people of India following  “the heinous terrorist attacks” which left nearly 180  persons dead, hundreds injured and an entire nation traumatized.

The IAC in a press release stated that it “strongly feels that all conflicts can be solved peacefully and therefore the use of violence especially against innocent persons is wholly unwarranted.”

Meanwhile, the Guyana  Hindu Dharmic Sabha  also expressed its profound condolences to the government and people of India on the recent terror attacks in Mumbai.   The Hindu organization also stated its  vehement opposition to terrorism and maintained that it would “always support efforts aimed at constructing orderly and peaceful societies.”

  1. Satish UNITED KINGDOM says:

The IAC is selling itself short in abandoning a combined military and negotiated settlement on this matter.

The IAC does not appear to understand that Pakistan’s governemt is just a figurehead. The Pakistan secret service (ISI) has ultimate control in Pakistan and as long as the US is giving Pakistan money and arms, the ISI will continue its state-sponsored terror attacks inside India… month after month.

THE USA ITSELF should launch missile attacks on those LeT training camps in Pakistan Controlled Kashmir for the following reasons:

1 The US already launchs daily missile attacks on terrorists bases inside Pakistan so this additional target would just be standard policy.

2 If India wiped out the ISI/LeT bases by pinpoint air strikes; Pakistan may escalate by launching a nuclear weapon and India would be forced to retaliate massively and kill EVERY CITIZEN OF PAKISTAN. India already has the capability to do this but has been unbearably patient under constant attack in this low-level-state- sponsored- terror war of Pakistan’s choosing. This type of low-level war is best for Pakistan because it is bound to lose in either a conventional OR nuclear war with the massively armed India.

3 Since the US started to use Pakistan to arm the Taliban in the 1990s, Pakistan has been using some of the US money to finance terrorism in India. These attacks were insignificant before the US started to use Pakistan to arm the Taliban in order to fight the Russians.
The situation is much the same even now in 2008 with the US giving money to Pakistan; some of which Pakistan uses to reluctantly fight the Taliban in North West Frontier Provence tribal areas and the rest of the money is used by Pakistan’s ISI for state-sponsored terrorism in India using its agent LeT.

For many reasons therefore, the US should themselves eradicate those LeT training areas in Pakistan Controlled Kashmir and try to bring the old adversaries to the negotiation table.
If the US fails to act then India should destroy those terrorist camps saying to the Pakistan government that if they allow the camps to reform, they will do the same again but nevertheless express a wish for peaceful coexistence.

The IAC needs to understand that non-violence does not work every time. Even the Mahatma acknowledged this fact!
