Very interesting comments. But when did English become a second language in Guyana? This scenario cannot exist without collusion from the highest level. As usual with “third world” administrations it’s all about lining their collective pockets. Forget about the good of the people and the trickle down effect. Before long we will end up like Haiti and all our natural resources will be depleted by China to the tune of 2 cents on the dollar, while the fat cats fill up their swiss bank accounts. Sad indeed.

The PPP/C has a history of victimising those of immaculate character simply because they cannot sya to those individuals, “You did it too.” So, as long as all are dirty & involved in one way or another, everything’s fine. They will continue to rid the law enforcement of “clean” personnel because the clean will not satisfy their whims & fancies. The major interceptions in Canada and the USVI would be seen as a major embarrassment for Guyana amid international concerns that it was not doing enough to stem the drug trade.

Let’s do the math here. Canada has only 25 to 30 million people total spread through out Canada. Ontario has 12 million or so. Ok….$40 million of coke attempts to come through a port in Vancouver headed for Etobicoke in Ontario to a Guyanese drug distributor. Ok…every person in canada has to have $1 million each to buy this drug, right? that this guyanese is supplying. Hmmmm….I DON’T THINK SO. This border with the US is porous and Pepper Sauce is distributed to the US with the most population on this continent. 30 million alone in NY state.
Look…the math is simple, the DRUGS was heading to the US so that they can get their FIX. Come on Coke Heads…admit it. All these years in Canada…I’ve never seen a major drug problem with it’s citizens as it is in the US of A.

It’s true about’their’ words – this is awe these time – when ‘they’ took over in 1992. They further brought shameness to Guyana.
When the news keep on bring up shameful news about Guyanese drug lords/peddelers, I said to my wife, when she told me that she was/is so shameful being an East Indian Guyanese, that it is an unfortunate thing because ‘they’ are doing the worst thing to the country – having being so critical about the former government.

My heart, as an original Guyanese,is crying because it is very much saddened by the way the land of my foreparents is destroyed physically/environmentally and other wise.
