Guyana Goldfields Incorporated recently treated the children and young adults of Itabali community at its now traditional annual party and intends to erect a monument in memory of those who died during the Bartica massacre.
The company treated the young Itabali residents to gifts and food for the Christmas season. In a press statement the company said the party also celebrated the playground it had established earlier this year in the community.

Guyana Goldfields stated that one of its foundation principles has been to hire individuals from Amerindian communities across Guyana and to ensure that its employees are expertly trained.

It has also hosted a number of medical outreach programmes and has been an active member in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Guyana Goldfields Incorporated, which represents several Canadian resource explorations companies, wishes all Guyanese a happy holidays.
