Dear Editor,

I refer to the letter by Mr George Cave captioned “Promotions of head teachers, deputies have been made” (08.01.21).

Mr Cave is correct, there were advertisements in this newspaper for senior vacancies within the teaching profession. However, there has been no appointed head or deputy at the Vryman’s Erven Secondary School in New Amsterdam. It was said that someone was appointed however the individual did not show up for whatever reason. This situation exists among numerous schools in Berbice and must be dealt with immediately.
