As leaders, no matter at what level of the social strata we find ourselves, we must be quick to think out situations before we commit to act on them. A very essential part of the thinking process is the ability to listen to the ones we lead, whether we consider them friends or enemies. People, in a time of crisis, have a way of zooming in on a common goal, if only for their survival.

Another essential quality in leadership is a compassionate heart with the wisdom to recognize opportunity, the alacrity to concede and the humility to apologize when the need arises.

During the last Hillary Clinton: Barrack Obama Democratic Debate, I was captivated when in one of the most tense moments of the debate Obama was called out by Clinton to very clearly state his stand on the endorsement he received from Nation of Islam Leader, Louis Farrakhan.
