Dear Editor,
Traffic officers have a job to curb speeding along our roads.
President Bharrat Jagdeo is undoubtedly a wise and judicious statesman who should see to it that in villages speed limit signs are posted on poles – GPL or otherwise – at least at the beginning or end of every village, so drivers know what the limit is.

Drivers would see this both ways and would come to their senses if they were exceeding the speed limit. In this way ‘top up’ for police officers when they find someone driving over the speed limit would be a thing of the past.
And hats off to all our cops! You are doing a fine job.
Yours faithfully,
Arnold Persaud
