Forget about Mr Moseley; look at NCN

Dear Editor,

‘Much ado about nothing.’ That is how I view the recent Moseley fiasco. At best, Mr Moseley should never voice reports. Funny how the authorities look at NCN and ignore the morass that prevails there. Now by paying unnecessary attention to Mr Moseley, his status is elevated. I would dearly love to hear Mr Moseley in an open debate. So for now, I refuse to continue to add to his fame or infamy by arguing over his predicament.

What concerns me, is the recent move from NCN of Avinash Ramzan. This is where the President of Guyana should do some micro-management. Avinash is the best in NCN’s sports, yet he left. Can someone do some investigation? Listen to the current sportscasters, and see how valid this inquiry is.

The second case to examine is that of 98.1 Hot FM. This is a travesty in this land. The current presenter in the morning is a misfit. Words and this presenter just do not mesh. Yet he has leverage, and this is what Mr Jagdeo and company should be concerned about, not Mr Moseley. Then what about the invasion of the sacred VOG from and by 98.1 Hot FM hosts? The excellence of Rocky Carew as a DJ is tarnished during his Saturday ‘Soundsa-tional.’ Rocky is not an announcer/producer. Give him his due on 98.1 Hot FM. Last Friday, I was cringing with the airing of ‘Carifesta Riddims.’ VOG is VOG, and can do without these presenters and programmes. This presenter is soiling the ‘Breakfast Show.’ He too is an excellent DJ, even though he overdid it last Saturday with his fake Jamaican-Guyanese.
This to me, Mr President, is what you should look at.

Yours faithfully,
Shane Rizwan
