A quorum consists of 2/3 of the councillors in office

Dear Editor,

With reference to the letter captioned ‘The NA Town Council has only seven serving members’ (SN 18.7.08), I am surprised that a letter of such nature was published without first seeking clarification from the council.

Please be informed that a quorum constitutes two-thirds of the councillors in office.
