Not a fiasco, but a burst of cultural expression

Dear Editor,
Really – ‘Linden hit by play fiasco’ (SN 27.8.08).  Quite the contrary; this community understands the complexity of staging Carifesta. 
We want to say an unqualified thank you to the Antiguan performers who stepped in.

We look forward to hosting them again on Thursday, just as we look forward to attending the rescheduled production of the Legend of the Silk Cotton Tree on Saturday. 
The fiasco is that Stabroek News was so fixed on its negative agenda that it apparently missed that more that 6500 persons were at the Gospel Concert only 300 yards from the theatre.
Come on, let’s play it as it really is. Linden hit by a burst of ‘Caribbean Cultural Expression.’
