There should be no latrines in schools

Dear Editor,

It is sad that in this day and age we still have latrines in the school system. We’re asking children to be health conscious and to practise safe sex and we can’t even provide them with a proper toilet?

The Ministries of Education and Health should be held accountable for the tragedy where a child died after falling into a pit latrine. The family should be compensated.

Where is the VAT money going? The Guyanese people need to start to voice their outrage and ask for their rights.

Yours faithfully,
Gavin Bailey
