Errol Arthur was a member of a US WPA support group

Dear Editor,
We have noted that in the course of his quarrel with Errol Arthur, Freddie Kissoon has written that there is no such person as Errol Arthur and no person called Errol Arthur was ever WPA.
The facts are that Errol Arthur was a member of a US WPA support group for several years, which included 1979, the high point of the WPA mobilization led by Walter Rodney, a period during which many supported us, true, but many others were afraid to be associated with us.

Over the years – and certainly in those early years – the home of Errol Arthur and his wife, Kumarie, was one of those where a number of WPA members, including the three signatories to this letter, stayed. We would add only that even after he stopped being a WPA supporter, he remained unfailingly gracious to those of us who came into contact with him and to whom he continued to extend his hospitality.
Yours faithfully,
Andaiye
