I also had a bad employment experience with Dr Jagan

Dear Editor,
I’d like to congratulate the Guyana High Court in relation to its decision on Colombian dentist, Ruben Mercado Navas! It is with great pleasure that I see justice done!  I am the ‘friend’ in Joey Jagan’s employ who recommended Dr. Ruben Mercado Navas to be employed by him. I was fired by Dr. Jagan in September 2003, because I refused to do a dental procedure on a patient who in my estimation required a specialist, not a General Practitioner. I was fired under unjustified circumstances. And again under the threats of deportation, and ‘my mother this and my mother that’. Unlike Dr. Mercado, my license was not revoked. But Dr. Jagan, with all his clout, could impress on me and my family,  some kind of ever present threat. Not that he scared me (I fear no man). I was afraid for my family.  He told me that if he wanted I would not be able to work in Guyana, and that he did have a dossier on me and my performance, of which he never complained while I was making money for him.
He also promised me a percentage from the money I was making for him at his dental office. He never paid me that, and he never paid me my severance pay and he never paid my ticket back to Colombia.

That is Joey Jagan. In my opinion, Dr. Joey Jagan is a great doctor; however, his father’s shoes are too big for him; and although he believes himself ‘God’, he is a small third-world despot and wolf in sheep’s clothes. I’d like to contact Dr. Ruben Mercado’s lawyers so I can sue Dr Jagan.
Yours faithfully,
Antonio Vargas
