Dear Editor,

I am writing in relation to an article published by Kaieteur News on October 15, 2008, about   Magistrate Yohhannseh Cave of Sparendaam  Magistrate’s Court.

I am a citizen of Guyana living in  Plaisance Village and many times I have sat  in the Sparendaam  courtroom and seen Magistrate Cave preside. He is a magistrate who does his work excellently, and is of good judgment. I can say this because I had experience working as a lawyer’s assistant clerk with one of the best lawyers and judges of this country, JOF Haynes. Some of the young journalists of this country need to get their facts right before slandering a person’s reputation. That magistrate starts court every day to clear the backlog of cases before him, including cases from long before he started to preside at Sparendaam.  They should encourage him to continue his good work.

Yours faithfully,
Joan Adams
