The articles in the various newspapers speak of only husbands being charged for forcing wives into relations, but it is known that in some communities quite the opposite could be the case, as some men claim having suffered the same stress as women. It is a fact that men are sometimes mentally and physically abused by women, and even killed, although some men persecute their wives and want to make them mere sex slaves.

I personally believe the proposed act is a good one in modern times, as there are some extremely cruel and vicious husbands. What scares me, however, is if a woman gets tired of her husband, or develops hate for him over time and has a burning desire to destroy him, she could use an accusation of rape to bring him down. If she is with a new lover she may want to blackmail the husband for his savings, or vice versa.
I hope the act will address all factors which could cause serious social problems.
