Dear Editor,

The Guyana Water Inc (GWI) has failed to deliver a drop of water through the pipes in the  communities of McDoom and Agricola for the past week. Moreover, on a number of previous occasions this year the GWI piplines have gone dry in these two communities.

And now GWI has not had the common courtesy to offer any explanation to their consumers about their current plight after seven days.

This disrespectful silence compounds the technical problem with a communication glitch.  This is just not good enough as it can’t be business as usual.

In addition, the ‘Press Room’ on the company’s website appears to be as dormant as the Public Relations Department, notwithstanding the recently publicised GWI Public Day billed for Fridays.

GWI, your silence has only added insult to injury.

Yours faithfully,
Lloyd Conway

Editor’s note
We are sending a copy of this letter to the PRO of GWI, Mr Rawle Aaron, for any comments he might wish to make.
