Dear Editor,

I wish to commend the police for ensuring that there was no noise on the Clive Lloyd Highway for three or four hours on Sunday night, November 30, 2008.

However, the noise began around 22h and continued to 24h.

Police men and women should understand that their failure to perform according to the law reflects on the entire police force.

On Sunday night, November 23, Digicel erected a tent on the parapet at Clive Lloyd Highway in the vicinity of Church Road and blasted the area with noise for three hours. I am told that no permit was given to them.  Police were in the area. Why was this allowed?

Yours faithfully,
Eileen Cox
