Why has Capleton been stopped from performing at the National Park?

Dear Editor,
I am very concerned that the Ministry of Home Affairs has stopped the reggae show on January 3, 2009 with Capleton at the National Park.
It is very unfair to stop most of the reggae/ Jamaican artistes from coming to the country and also unfair to the people and the promotion/production teams. This show will not only help Guyana, but it will also open the door for other positive things to happen here.

Instead of stopping the show government officials should sit down with the promotion/production team to discuss the best way to deal with the situation that would benefit everyone. If there is a ban production companies will not want to do any business in Guyana and foreigners will stop coming to Guyana to spend their money. I hope someone speaks to the Government of Guyana and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Yours faithfully,
Nicole Holder
