Cycling season commences Saturday

The 15th annual cycling season of National Sports Commission cycling coach Hassan Mohammed will commence on Saturday at the National Park.

Eleven events will be on the day’s programme which will be sponsored by Ricks and Sari Ltd. and Agro Industries.

Prizes will be presented to the winners of the various categories by representatives of the two companies.

The event will start at 9am.

The feature event will be the Schoolboys and Novices race over a distance of 35 laps while there will also be events for juveniles and veteran cyclists.

The juveniles will compete over a distance of 10 laps.

In addition there will be a three-lap event for boys 12-14 years of age and several BMX events.
