Tutorial High School and Charlestown Secondary will clash today at the Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) ground in Woolford Avenue in the final of the Georgetown zone of the Inter-Secondary Schools Under-19 female limited overs cricket competition.

The two teams scored easy wins over Brickdam and Dolphin Secondary Schools’ respectively in their semi-final encounters on Saturday.

In the encounter between Tutorial High and Brickdam Secondary on Saturday Tutorial High School batted first and scored 112 from their allotted 20 overs with Makeisha Dash top scoring with an unbeaten 31.

Sherena Martin chipped in with 17 while extras contributed 41.

Bowling for Brickdam Secondary School Rehanna Clarke grabbed 4-7 and Shelena Dookram 2-19.

In reply, Brickdam Secondary was bundled out for 31 with extras accounting for 20 of those runs.

Nickesie Patterson 2-7, Tenesha Carto 2-4, Sharon Browne 2-6 and Anna Primo 2-6 were the principal wicket-takers.

In the second semi-final Charlestown Secondary School was dismissed for 40 with Andrea Hackett top scoring with 14 and extras contributing 15.

Althea Mc Lean bagged 3-8 and Tamara Hunter 3-9.

Dolphin Secondary was bundled out for a paltry 27 as Alicia Browne grabbed six wickets for six runs.

According to former national fast bowler Robert `Pacer’ Adonis following today’s finals, a squad will be shortlisted to undergo trials with a view to representing Demerara in the upcoming Inter-County competition.
