Phagwah race meet now billed for March 16

The Kennard Memorial Turf Club Phagwah race meet which was scheduled to be held on March 2 will now run off on March 16 at the club’s Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, Berbice race track.

Seven races are carded for the day and entries for this event which can be made through former Chancellor of the Judiciary Cecil Kennard and Roopnarine Matadial (Shine) will close on March 9.

The organizers would like to inform horse owners that should there be less than five horses entered for any event, the club reserves the right to cancel or reframe the particular race.

Owners are asked to have their horses properly entered for their chosen event by paying the entrance fee of $2,000 for each race so that their horse’s names could appear on the official programme.
